I am greatly inspired by the poet Timothy Murphy and musicians Rich Mullins and Stan Rogers for their ability to connect with and write about the land around them in a meaningful and beautiful way. When artists represent their region, with its heritage and stories, in a poetic or beautiful way, the experience of life in that region is elevated to be beautiful itself. There is power in describing nature and the daily rhythms of a place in a beautiful way, as it helps those experiencing it to connect to the deeper meaning of life in that place. This builds culture, and
